Internet Safety

Teresa only gave the name of her brother and her mother, but in 20 minutes the tracker knew what school she went to, where she lived, and her last name. My personal info is on Facebook  but only my friends can see it. The most important thing to remember when using the internet is there are bad people out there. The second video I watched was titled "Photo Fate" and it was about why not to send inappropriate pictures.

Footprint

After evaluating my digital footprint, I was proud to see that there was no bad language in my last year of Facebook. I was surprised to see that there were a lot more pictures of me on Google images than I thought. I was not really embarrassed by anything in my footprint other than my over use of the word "YOLO" at one point in time. I don't think I have to change anything to make my footprint better.

Cyber Bullying

I think the movie was a bit over dramatic on the subject, however cyber bullying is a terrible thing that needs to stop. It has taken many lifes and continues to depress people on a day to day basis.

Netiquette

Nettiquette is the ediquette of the web, or the unwritten rules of the internet. Netiquette basically describes what one should and should not do online. Netiquette affects everyone who uses the internet. Some examples of good netiquette are being curdious to others and not taking advantage of people. Some examples of poor netiquette are using bad grammerand language, or taking advantage of other people.

Illegal Downloads

Many people are puzzled about the legality of 'MP3s'. An MP3 is just a type of file and it is perfectly legal to be shared, however when you share copyrighted material, that is when it becomes illegal. The laws state that you can do whatever you want with your mucic in regards to ripping it to mp3s from the cd or vise versa for personal use. But, as soon as you share the peice with a peer, it becomes illegal.

Copyright Court Case

Frankie Valli and company vs. The Boys in Concert
The musical 'Jersey Boys' is a musical about jersey musician Frankie Valli and his band the Four seasons. Frankie and company think that the musical 'The boys in Concert' took a little too much from the mucical 'Jersey Boys'. Vali decided to sue for stolen on stage acts as well as ten infringed songs.
